The Luke Commission (www.lukecommission.org) takes free health care and the Good News of Jesus Christ to the most isolated and underserved populations, in partnership with the Eswatini people and the Ministry of Health. Patients are tested, counseled and ushered into treatment for HIV/AIDS. Any minor health issues are treated on site at the clinic, while more complicated cases are given care at their home base campus.
The Luke Commission staff members treat and touch hundreds of people at just one mobile hospital outreach. But through that reach they are able to address the individual health concerns and needs of every person who visits.
TLC’s comprehensive approach to rural health care has become a model that must be replicated. It takes the stigma out of being treated – whether it’s for HIV, TB, STI’s, chronic medical conditions, or just the typical aches and pains. With partners and experts from various fields across the globe, along with intensive coordination with the Eswatini government, TLC provides services that are neither duplicated nor overlooked.
